A MORRIS Dancing group are holding an open evening to mark 500 days before the start of the London Olympics.

Ashley's Rise Junior Morris, which promote one of England's great folk traditions, was founded by Kim Woodward.

The club was formed out of an after-school group that met at Ashley Down Junior School in the early 1990s.

The meeting will be used to discuss the club's involvement in the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

The London 2012 Cultural Olympiad is the largest cultural celebration in the history of the modern Olympic and Paralympic Movements.

The meeting takes place at Horfield URC, Muller Road, between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on March 15. Entry is free.
