Mont Blanc expedition to mark school's anniversary
EIGHT Clifton College students plan to reach the summit of Mont Blanc to mark the independent school's 150th anniversary.
The team of 15- to 17-year-olds was selected by head of outdoor education Gary Walker after training activities in Exmoor and Snowdonia. In July, the team will fly to Switzerland four days before the planned climb to acclimatise by climbing two other 4,000m peaks. They will then travel to Chamonix for the Mont Blanc ascent and plan to spend a maximum of three days on the mountain.
