Paulton Rovers manager Andrew Jones has revealed that star player and club vice-captain Ben Cleverley was made an unbelievable offer to join Premier division side Tiverton Town.

Cleverley has been one of Paulton's key players and Jones admitted that his departure this week to Devon is a huge loss.

"Ben and I had a long chat but at the end of the day his decision was a no-brainer at what Tiverton are chucking at him is ludicrous," said Jones.

"There was no comparison between what we could offer him and what Tiverton had on the table and Ben just couldn't turn that down."
