Mogg boosted by the loan signing of midfielder Gibb
Yate Town caretaker manager Dave Mogg has boosted his squad by signing former Bristol Rovers midfielder Ali Gibb on a month's loan from Bath City ahead of their game at Rugby Town.
Gibb needs games to recover his match fitness after breaking his ankle in a pre-season friendly, so Bath manager Adie Britton was prepared to let him go on loan.
Gibb will take over the midfield role vacated by the departure of player/coach Paul Chenoweth, who has quit Yate to sign for Hellenic League Almondsbury Town. It follows the sacking of manager Richard Thompson after nine-and-a-half years in charge.
Club skipper Lee Jefferies has also decided to leave and has joined Toolstation Premier Division side Brislington.
Yate striker Aaron Blakemore is still a target for Blue Square South Weston-super-Mare but the Lodge Road side insist they want a fee for the contracted player, who did not train this week.
Yate are also without suspended leading scorer Dean Griffiths as they battle to pull away from the relegation zone.
