Manager Paul Milsom and his assistant Spencer Thomas have finally ended speculation over their future at Mangotsfield United by deciding to remain with the Cossham Street club.

They met the club's board of directors earlier this week and Milsom said: "The board said they were fully behind us and explained the reasons behind the decision to cut the budget".

"We understand the reasons for this and there are plenty of other clubs struggling financially in the present circumstances, but the main reason for our decision was the loyalty shown by the players."

The club have reduced the price of admission for today's game to last season's prices of £7 for adults and £5 for OAP's, with children under 16 allowed free entry if accompanied by an adult.

Another club who have been forced to cut their budget are Chippenham Town, who entertain Banbury United today and travel to Oxford City on Tuesday.

Ross Adams returns to the squad after suspension, while Sam Allison has recovered from injury.

Clevedon Town manager Wayne Powell believes that the three new signings who made their debuts in the midweek home draw against Banbury will provide the impetus which has been lacking.

"Kris Leek did well in midfield, while striker Tom Billing scored our goal and Chris Hartland is also a very good player".

Striker Lewis Powell is suspended and misses today's game at second-in-the-table Corby Town and there will be a fitness test for Matt Driscoll.Chris Pearce has been allowed to leave the club.
