Met Office upgrades snow weather warning to amber
Bristol is bracing itself for snow on Monday, as the Met Office has upgraded its yellow weather warning for the south west to a more severe amber warning.
A Met Office forecaster said: "Colder air continuing to move westwards is already causing a band of rain to turn to snow over the high ground of southwest England.

Snow is expected in Bristol over the next 24 hours
"This process will continue during Sunday evening and overnight into Monday with a risk of more persistent and at times heavy snow."
AA spokesman Paul Waters said: “This is going to be winter’s sting in the tail. Motorists should make sure their vehicles are ready.”
