Met Office changes its mind on Bristol snow forecast
The Met Office has removed the yellow-grade weather warning it had put in place for potential snow falling in Bristol on Monday.
Forecasters now believe Bristol will escape the worst of the wintry weather, with snow more likely to cause disruption in the Midlands and the North.

“When is the Met Office going to change its mind over promoting 'climate change' ****?”

“Depends on who you listen to as to what forecast you get. Sometimes you'll get better weather if you watch the ITV Westcountry forecast rather than BBC Points West. At other times the reverse is true.
Radio Bristol often gives two different forecasts within a few minutes. This morning, for example, the weather man came on 'live' and spoke to Steve the presenter and gave the local forecast. A few minutes later the news reader gave a completely different local forecast at the end of the news bulletin.”

“Its not the Met office who have difficulty in knowing what the weather might do it is how it is reported. The Met Office give out information based on probabilities but it is never reported that way. So if there is a chance of snow it is always reported as snow is definitely going to happen.”

“@Pogo_T_Clown
"That's brilliant news. The last thing Bristol needs is to be paralysed by another 2cm of snow."
That's nearly an inch, isn't it?”

“It never DID predict snow in Bristol, but it's too much trouble for the Post to actually look at the LOCAL forecast. SHEESH!!!”

“It says that "Bristol will escape the worst of the wintry weather".
Why don't we ever read the corollory to that, "Bristol will catch the best of the wintry weather"?”

“I get the distinct impression over and over again - that the Met office don't really know much about what the weather is going to do! Lets just say there is a chance that temperatures could drop over the next few days, bringing the possibility of rain, sleet or snow in between potential sunny intervals or cloudy spells. This could change if the wind picks up!!”
