Meet the tight-knit family who now span five generations
IT'S not often that five generations of one family can sit on the same sofa.
But that's exactly what a family in Withywood can do following the birth of baby Winston.

As well as his mother Caroline Johnson, 28, there were three other members of his family that had a special reason to welcome him into the world.

His great-great grandmother Irene Pritchard, 94, great-grandmother Brenda McCarthy, 65, and grandmother Gillian McCarthy, 45, were also thrilled at his arrival.
The five generations meet up regularly and enjoy spending time with each other.
Brenda McCarthy told the Post: "To have five generations of one family together is quite unusual.
"It's wonderful for us as we are a very tight knit family.
"My mother Irene is thrilled that she got to see the birth of her great-great grandson.
"Winston has been very spoilt as he's got all of us buying him toys and clothes.
"Caroline is lucky to have us three to help look after him as well.
"We often meet up and have a lot of chats, but now things are very baby-oriented.
"My last grandchild was born 19 years ago so it's been wonderful to have another one to spoil, especially because he is my first great-grandchild.
"We have a big family anyway but the fact that us five can sit together from five different generations is really wonderful – there must be a lot of knowledge and experience of different times there!"
