Matches start on the dot of three...so why can't Bristol Rovers?
I hope you turn up and support the Gas on Saturday, but don't bother to get to the Memorial Stadium until five past three.
It's worrying that game after game Bristol Rovers don't seem to be up for it at the start so it doesn't matter if you are not in the ground before 3.05 pm because you won't miss anything ... unless the visitors score.
We cannot afford to go on giving sides a gift goal in the first five minutes like we did again at Millwall, and I just cannot understand why we don't ever seem to be motivated at the kick-off in the same way as our opponents.
Our poor starts mean we are always chasing the game and there are no points handed out for effort.
It is turning out to be a season of big under achievement. Rovers have a good squad on paper but the table never lies and we are now 15th only three points off a relegation position.
All the talk of bring back John Ward or Ian Holloway is nonsense, these fans have short memories as it is only a few weeks ago that Paul Trollope picked up the manager of the month award, but he and Lennie Lawrence do need to kick some backsides before the kick-off . So if they say they do already … then they need to kick them harder.
We need to be more positive at home, the line-up of Stuart Campbell in front of the back four worked initially, but we have now gone six games without a win and our most creative midfield player must play further forward supporting the front men, not the defenders.
I see Trolls says he is going to change the back four on Saturday. Craig Hinton was unlucky to be left out recently after starring in our run of wins while the loss of Danny Coles has been a major factor.
Will he drop Steve Elliott? I know we chant how brilliant he is, but the startling fact is we have only won once this season with Elliott in the line up.
The experiment of playing Craig Disley out wide needs looking at as well, he is not a wide man, has not scored this season, and needs to play in midfield with Campbell.
Jo Kuffour has been a great signing, but Darryl Duffy (no scored since August) and Jeff Hughes have not given value for money.
I know Hughes scored at Hartlepool but Sean Rigg did more in the last 10 minutes of the previous game against Swindon that Hughes did for 80 minutes.
So come on Trolls, let's take the game to Tranmere on Saturday with David Pipe on one flank and Rigg on the other … and kick some backsides at five to three.

“I agree with almost everything said in terms of performance and that we need to let Trolls do his job. However in defence I'd put Lescott at RB, with JJ at LB and bring back Hinton for either Anthony or Elliot. As soon as Coles is fit then he should play. Disley should move to central midfield. Pipe wide right and Kuffour wide left with Duffy alongside Lambert but it doesn't matter who plays up front if as Dennis says we start off 2 goals down after 10 minutes!”
