CREST Nicholson's new Sixty8 apartment block at the Marina development in Portishead is proving to be a big hit with home buyers.

Of 60 one- and two-bedroom apartments, and eight two-bedroom penthouses, 23 were released for sale at the end of March and 18 have now been sold.

The views are thought to be a big draw for buyers, along with the marina's new bars and restaurants and all the leisure activities available on the doorstep, including sailing, fishing, windsurfing and kayaking.

Laura Osborne, senior sales manager for Crest Nicholson, said: "We're absolutely delighted with the take-up of Sixty8 at the Marina so far.

"All of the apartments have views over the lock side and private balconies from which to soak up the atmosphere of this cosmopolitan area, so it's not that surprising that they're proving so popular."

All the homes at Sixty8 have sleek bathrooms and kitchens with quality fitted appliances, and open-plan kitchen/living areas, which access the balcony or terrace.

The two-bedroom properties also have en suite facilities as well as a bathroom, while the penthouses include fitted wardrobes and some have two balconies with differing views.

Two-bedroom apartments at Sixty8 are available from £200,000 and one-bedroom apartments start at £155,000. For more information, visit the on-site marketing suite, open daily 10am to 5pm, call 0808 100 6009 or visit www.portmarine.co.uk.

“Sixty8, aka as the Barricade. Will have great views of the dock but no mention that their view in the opposite direction will soon be blocked by another construction with many more residents, with even more cars all trying to negotiate the same road out of what is becoming congestion alley.”
