The match was organised by Gemma Curtis, 27, who works with disabled children at Briarwood Special Needs School in Fishponds.

Gemma, who plays with The Jets, wanted to raise money for a special tricycle for the students to use in the playground and decided to organise the fundraising match.

As well as the match there was a barbecue, ice creams and cake sale, and all money raised will go towards the cost of buying the £500 bike.

Gemma, of Withywood, said: "I play netball with the Jets netball team and thought it would be a great idea to get the girls involved.

"I wanted to raise money for a tricycle because at playtimes sometimes the children can get bored."
