Mangotsfield United suffer relegation after heavy defeat
Oxford City 4 Mangotsfield Utd 0: Any hopes Mangotsfield had of avoiding the drop disappeared after they suffered their second 4-0 defeat in three days away to Oxford City.
The home side took the lead after just three minutes, giving Mangotsfield a difficult task from early on.
The goal came when City's Alex Fisher set up Darren Pond to slip the ball past Josh Clapham.
Mitchell Page might have done better for Mangotsfield when he wasted an opportunity on the edge of the area while Steve Fitzpatrick also drove wide.
After a Ben Swallow corner caused confusion in the home area, play swiftly went to the other end and Clapham was fortunate not to concede when his clearance was charged down by Fisher but Ryan Bennett got back to clear.
Oxford went further in front on 22 minutes when Fisher's cross was hooked in by Mark Bell.
A minute later, Mangotsfield were rocked by a third goal when good movement by Oxford saw Fisher dummy a ball going forward for Craig Faulconbridge to put in an excellent cross to Pond, who neatly lifted over Clapham.
The second half saw a much more spirited display from Mangotsfield, who began creating chances but could not get the desired opportunities to get back in the game.
And Oxford were to have the last word.
Liam Malone's effort was pushed away for a corner by Clapham, but the City man got on the scoresheet when Bell's shot was blocked and the ball ran loose for him to net goal No 4 off the inside of an upright.
