Mangotsfield United 2 Swindon Supermarine 1. Mangotsfield gave themselves hope of avoiding relegation from the Southern League Premier Division by taking three valuable points with a battling performance against Swindon Supermarine last night.

Justin McKay was off-target with an early shot for Supermarine before Mangotsfield took a 12th-minute lead when Neil Arndale and Jack Harris released Kyle Tooze down the left and his cross was put away by Dane O'Connor.

They made it 2-0 after 18 minutes through Ben Swallow, after good inter-play between O'Connor and Robert Hobbs had opened up the Supermarine rearguard.

Josh Clapham, in the Mangotsfield goal, made a brilliant diving save to protect his side's two-goal lead when he turned an Alex Stanley free-kick away for a corner.

With the advantage of the slope in the second half, Supermarine kept the Mangotsfield defence under constant pressure, but they held out until the 92nd minute, when Nick Stanley scored.
