AFC Totton 2 Mangotsfield United 1

Mangotsfield United came up short despite a spirited second-half fightback at Cossham Street.

Totton took control of the first half, going in front on 28 minutes through Brett Williams.

And Ross Bottomley added a second shortly before the interval to extend the visitors' lead.

Mangotsfield were back in the game two minutes into the second half when Geraint Bater broke from midfield and created the opening for Tom Knighton to pull a goal back.

Yet despite concerted pressure, Mangotsfield's youngsters were unable to find a way through a well-drilled and solid Totton defence.

Defeat has left Phil Bater's team struggling in 16th place in the Southern League South & West Division.
