Mangotsfield United 0 Dagenham & Redbridge 3: Mangotsfield United manager Phil Bater was pleased with his side's performance for the first hour as they matched their Coca-Cola League Two opponents kick for kick before conceding three goals.

"We kept a clean sheet for the first hour and it was only when we brought the younger players on that they scored their goals," said Bater.

"I was happy with our first-half performance and the opening 15 minutes of the second half."

The only player not to get a game was Rob Taylor, who was ruled out with an ankle injury but should be fit for tomorrow's home game against Weston-super-Mare.

Scott Hendy went close to giving Mangotsfield the lead just before the half-hour mark with a header from a corner. Daine O'Connor wasted a good opportunity before Tom Knighton forced a good save from Dagenham keeper Tony Roberts.

The Daggers went close on the stroke of half-time through Wes Thomas and Jon Nurse, who both had shots blocked on the line, before taking the lead after 63 minutes when Nurse's header hit an upright and rebounded into the net off Mangotsfield's Rob Scott.

The visitors took control after that. Danny Green beat goalkeeper Tony Court with a low drive in the 75th minute and substitute Graeme Montgomery sidefooted home a cross from the right after 85 minutes to complete the scoring.
