Andy Mangan won the battle of the former Golden Boot winners as Forest Green beat Coca-Cola League One Charlton Athletic 3-1 in a pre-season friendly.

Mangan netted twice in the first 25 minutes, while former Rovers star Stuart Fleetwood, who started in the Addicks' attack, drew a blank at the New Lawn.

Charlton upped their game in the second half and Chris Dickson pulled a goal back 10 minutes from time following an misplaced pass by substitute James Baldwin.

But David Brown sealed a fine win for Forest Green by scoring in a goalmouth scramble.
