Man stabbed in Bristol city centre attack
A MAN was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds following an assault in Bristol city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident happened sometime between 3.30am and 4am where a 19-year-old man was involved in a fight in King Street which saw him stabbed repeatedly.

The stabbing victim was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers investigating the incident have urged anyone who was in the area at the time of the stabbing and may have witnessed the assault to contact them. Detective Sergeant Stuart Pollock said: "This was a serious attack in a busy area of the city. I am certain people saw this crime taking place and I would urge those with information to come forward."

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been bailed following further inquiries. Anyone with information about the stabbing should contact Bristol CID on 101 or at www.avon andsomerset.police.uk.

“What is wrong with youngsters today? Years ago if you had a problem with someone you would usually sort it out with a proper toe to toe. Now some carry knifes (wimps!) and people get seriously hurt like this lad and sometimes killed!
ANYONE! caught carrying a knife (no quibbles!) should be locked up straightaway for a minimum of 5 years. This would sort this out once and for all, but our wimpish Government just like the people who carry the knifes will do nothing about it while sipping their fine wine.”
