Man shot in Bristol nightclub
A man was shot in the leg in a Bristol nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 21-year-old suffered a single gunshot wound to the groin area of his right leg in a disturbance at the Blue Mountain Club, Stokes Croft.

A man was shot at the Blue Mountain nightclub in Bristol
Police were called to the club just after 4.45am and cordoned off the scene while they carried out an investigation.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and was released Saturday lunchtime.
Officers said they would be studying CCTV footage as part of the investigation.
They said there were a lot of people in and around the nightclub at the time of the incident and have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with informatioin about those who carried out the shooting to contact Bristol CID on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

“With knife and gun crime the way it is nowadays, it should be the case that if you want a late night club license you have to have metal detectors on the door. If you dont have em, you dont get the license.
Any incident that then happens inside a club that has failed to detect someone coming in with a knife or gun results in prosecution of the club owner.”

“it would not make any difference if they shut at 1 or 2... if someone wants to shoot someone they aint jus not gonna do it cuz its a few hours earlier. i go to these clubs frequently and never have problems . in fact i would rather go here than go to waterfront when u get ppl glassing others jus for lookin at them!”
