Man remanded in Bristol murder case
A 42-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his pensioner mother.
Gary Iles, of Seymour Road, Staple Hill, is accused of killing Sheila Iles, 78, on Wednesday.
Prosecutor Joanne Cory told North Avon Magistrates' Court in Yate that Mrs Iles was discovered at her home by police with a knife in her back.
Iles was remanded in custody by magistrates to appear at Bristol Crown Court on July 17.
Daniel Woodman, appearing for Iles, made no application for bail.
