Man could lose sight in one eye after brutal attack by gang in Bristol
A man is likely to lose his sight in one eye following a vicious assault in Bristol, police say.
The victim, in his 20s, was leading away a friend who was arguing with a group of men when they turned on him and launched an attack.

It happened between 4am and 6am in the Park Street/Great George Street area.
The man had come out of a club when he saw his friend having a row and tried to act as peacemaker.

He was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary with a serious eye injury.
Police cordoned off the area and are investigating the assault.
