“between 4am and 4.30am on Sunday (April 22).
Ok so I'm making assumptions, but I think it would be a safe assumption that lots of booze was involved. It says it was a fight not someone simply getting an undeserved kicking, so let them fight.
They probably woke up in bed with a few scratches and then waxed lyrical down the boozer Sunday lunchtime, while the "good Samaritan" ends up in hospital.
I hope he learns his lessons and walks the opposite way next time.”

“Another story on here today has the headline, "Man stabbed for trying to stop domestic assault".
I think the days of helping out are long gone but most of us got mobiles so the least we can do is ring the OB.”

“Without knowing the full story, it's hard to give a judgment on whether he should have intervened. Perhaps one of the blokes was coming off worse and he thought he couldn't just walk past?
If someone was giving me a kicking, I'd like to think a passer-by might try and help me out. Unfortunately these days it's far more likely people will look the other way and keep walking.”

Should have let them get on with it.”
