Man faces court accused of four sex attacks
A man appeared before Bristol Magistrates today accused of carrying out four sex attacks on women in Clifton and Redland.
Benjamin Jackson, 29, of Walter Street, Bedminster, faced four charges of sexual assault.
The first two assaults took place on November 8 on women aged 26 and 20 in Hampton Park, Redland, and Alma Road, Clifton.
Magistrates were told the other attacks happened at 3.30am on November 21 in Hampton Park, Clifton and another in Hanbury Road, Clifton, on October 24, when a 21-year-old woman was assaulted at about 7.15pm.
Jackson, wearing a grey track suit, spoke only to give his name and address during the six-minute court hearing.
No plea was entered on his behalf by his solicitor, Nicola Smailes.
He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on March 6.
Committal papers will now be prepared for a pre-trial hearing at Bristol Crown Court on June 5.
