A man has died after a crash involving two cars and a bus in Yate.

The driver of one of the cars was believed to have had a heart attack, but it is not certain whether it happened before or after the incident.

The collision happened at about 12.45pm today on the A432 Station Road between Yate Railway Station and Morrisons.

A crew from Great Western Air Ambulance flew to the incident and attempted to resuscitate the man but after 40 minutes pronounced him dead.

Police closed the road between North Road and Longs Drive and investigators expect it to remain closed while they carry out investigations.
