A man has died following a suspected robbery in Bristol.

Avon and Somerset police confirmed they are investigating a "suspicious death" at the M & M foods cold store in St Andrew's Road, Avonmouth.

The Bristol Evening Post understands robbers may have attempted to raid the warehouse at about 7.30pm last night.

“I would imagine that people like Shelly would be sorely missed. She seems to have all the right ideas whereas clowns like you rarely have anything constructive to say about anything. If you are not a child yourself, please TRY to think of what the area will be like in 20 years if things dont change.”

    “d, Avonmouth

You are a moron if you think this is just about my children. I worry for a whole generation who are being brought up in our feckless society today, as well as for all law abiding citizens everywhere who are left at the mercy of idiotic, mindless little thugs of all ages.

Open your eyes 'd' this country is a hell hole and it will be our children who pay - In more ways than one. Remember that the next time you read stories in this paper about 12 yr olds in court for allegedly sexually assaulting another child or when you rue yet another person who has been killed in a hit and run or see another article like this one where a mans death occurs due no doubt, in some way to the actions of a few selfish men. Then ask yourself again. Is this the world are proud to share with the next generation

How dare you suggest that I am worried just for my own you make me sick!”

“Some of these comments make me feel sick..!!! They are bang out of order..!! i am a good friend of the family to this mans wife.. and he was just doing his everyday job when this happened.. he is innocent and didnt deserve this..! His wife and her kids r completely devestated and been left heartbroken.. so why not take a moment to think of how they are feeling before leaving these comments which are so hurtful to them..!!! He was NOT a robber.. he worked for the warehouse... He was NOT a immigrant but a man that was much loved by his family..!!!
My thoughts are with all of the family x x x”

    “Good afternoon,
I am a student at Bristol UWE studying journalism and need to write a feature article for my course. I find this story intriguing and wish to write about it. I was wondering if you could help me by answering a few questions. I have gone through the comments and have found some very interesting points of views. What do you think should be done to prevent this kind of thing in the future? Are you afraid to go out in the evening knowing that things like this do happen?
Thankyou for your answers and time.
    Jayne”
