A MAN told a jury he did not sexually abuse two youngsters.
Stephen Barter, 55, of Purnell Way, Paulton, denies six sexual assaults on two girls. A jury at Bristol Crown Court heard Barter is alleged to have touched the girls improperly, one of whom was aged under 13. The alleged assaults came to light when one of the youngsters told her teacher.
Her school informed social services and they contacted police. Barter conceded he cuddled one girl but denied touching her improperly or taking advantage after giving gifts. The case continues.
