Man found dead in Patchway flat was Philip Coombs
A MAN whose death in a flat in Patchway led to two people being arrested on suspicion of murder was 47-year-old Philip Coombs.
Neighbours and then paramedics tried in vain to save the life of Mr Coombs at the block of flats where he lived in Willow Close. An ambulance was called to the block of a dozen flats, number 22-44, shortly after 5.30am on Monday after Mr Coombs suffered a suspected cardiac arrest.

It is understood he lived in a flat on the ground floor but was in a flat on one of the other floors when his condition deteriorated.
Avon and Somerset police arrested a 27-year-old man and a 33-year-old man at the scene, on suspicion of murder. But after 36 hours they were both bailed, pending further investigation.

Police are still waiting for test results before a cause of death can be confirmed.
Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe said a post mortem examination has been done but further work was needed to discover why Mr Coombs died.
"We are still waiting for the results of further tests," he said.
The police have not yet formally identified the man, but The Post understands he was Mr Coombs.
