Man critically ill after attack in Patchway
A 29-year-old man is critically ill in hospital after being attacked in Patchway.
Police said he was involved in a row with another man when he was struck with a weapon.

The victim was rushed to Frenchay Hospital where his condition is described as "critical".
Police were called to Cedar Close in Patchway at about 2.15am today where two men had been involved in a "verbal altercation".

Police officers and search teams are currently in the area and are likely to remain there throughout Christmas Day.
A police spokesman said: "We're now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who may have any information to come forward and contact us."
A 25 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and currently remains in police custody.
