A man remains in a critical condition in hospital with serious head injuries after he was attacked outside a pub in Bedminster.

The 32-year-old man was outside Quinn's Cafe Bar in East Street on Friday evening when he was assaulted at about 6.20pm.

He was taken to Frenchay Hospital, where he remains.

Police have arrested three men, aged 41, 31 and 29, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They have been given bail pending further inquiries.

Detectives today appealed for witnesses to the attack to get in touch. Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
