Malin in fine form to take the honours
Bristol ace Dean Malin hit double tops with a 63-5-0 mixed bag in the Charlie Barnes Open Match, fished on an overgrown Match Lake at Bullock Farm, Kingston Seymour.
The Dynamite Baits sponsored rod made a top draw at peg 17 on the chicken shed bank.
He poled both sweetcorn and maggot over a cupped-in groundbait at 16 metres centre and weighed-in 46-3-0 of carp and a winning 17-2-0 of silverfish.
The runner-up was Mosella's Tony Rixon, who used a variety of baits at Bridge Peg 24 to tempt 61-13-0 of mostly carp.

Dominic Ellaway missed the 100lb mark by the weight of just one average-sized Cary Lake carp in the Warwick Arms AC match, fished at Viaduct Fishery's, Somerton.
He poled cat meat at five metres centre off peg 59 and weighed-in 94-10-0 of carp in the 4-8lb class.
Chris Szackacks shouted "fish on" at the whistle and the capture of a last-cast bonus carp lifted him into second place by 1lb-1 from Chris Gay. Szackacks poled paste into the margins of 73 for 55-7-0 of carp to 7lb, while Gay poled paste at 14.5 metres centre and sweetcorn into the corner margins of 53 for a similar 54-6-0.

Jon Rowlands fished a 6mm banded pellet shallow beneath a waggler at 25 metres off Campbell 128 and weighed in a winning 130-10-0 of carp in the Ridgeway & District AA match, fished at Viaduct Fishery.
Second was Matt Challenger with a similar 90-15-0 taken with paste poled at 14 metres centre at peg 116 on the Cary Lake causeway.
Neighbouring peg 119 came up with the top silverfish weight for match secretary Steve Dumbleton, who used worm, chopped worm and pellet to tempt 13-5-0 of skimmers.

The capture of a 17-3-0 carp gave Tony Page the winning edge in the Avon Angling Midweek Open match, fished on Specimen and Match Lakes at Landsend Fisheries, Wedmore.
He poled banded 6mm pellet against the island off Specimen 28 and included the heaviest fish of the match in his 166-4-0 catch.
The runner up was paste expert Tony Wittcomb, who poled his own concoction of Slime paste into the right hand margins of Match 24 and brought 151-3-0 of carp weighing between 4-0-0 and 8-0-0 to the scales.
Bristol's Tony Rixon picked-up the third place pools money with a similar 147-0-0 taken with 6mm hair-rigged pellet poled at 13 metres off Match 22.
