Maggs lends a hand at Old Redcliffians
Former Bristol centre Kevin Maggs has been giving a helping hand at Western Counties North promotion- pushing Old Redcliffians before he is expected to sign for a National Division club.
The 70-capped ex-Ireland international parted company with the Guinness Premiership strugglers 10 days ago by mutual consent and has been attracting interest from Bristol Combination clubs Dings Crusaders, Clevedon, and Imperial.

National Division Two title contenders Birmingham & Solihull have also been alerted to Maggs' availability.
But Reds, who visit Berry Hill tomorrow (2.30pm) seven days before they return to the same club in the Senior Vase quarter-finals, are thrilled to be benefiting from the ex-Bristol, Bath and Ulster three-quarter.
Chairman Ray Massey said: "Kevin has been giving us free advice and has been at training this week. It is not permanent, but he has been helping our coaches.
"He is a friend of the (Massey) family. It is great to have him here but I don't think he'll play for us just yet because he's three years away from possibly playing at this level.
"We are in a position where we want to move the club forward. We have a good squad of players and these good players need top coaching otherwise they won't develop."
Reds are without the injured Ben Massey, Joe Woodward, Jason Owen, Luke Nabaro and Dave Jones, while Rob Dyer drops to the bench as a precaution. Former Bristol prop Luke Summerfield will skipper the side in Owen's absence.
Third-placed North Bristol welcome back Ross Wilson, Gary Charles and Carl Smith for their home match with Widden (2.30pm).
Jack Weston takes over the captaincy with Rich Gay not available when bottom side Keynsham visit Chosen Hill FP (2.30pm).
Strugglers Thornbury have delayed selection for their important home league match with Stroud (2.30pm) to check on the fitness on a number of players.
In South West Two West, Avonmouth second rows Danny Williams (ankle) and Luke Matthews (shoulder) will face up to six and three weeks respectively on the sidelines.
Third-placed Avonmouth host second-from-bottom Walcot (2.30pm) looking to claim their third win of 2009.
Basement side Clevedon include Rory Biggins in the squad for the trip to Sidmouth (2.30pm) after the young centre returned to the club last week from National Division Three South Bridgwater.
Third-from-bottom St Mary's are at home against fellow strugglers Yatton (2.30pm).
