BRISTOL MP Charlotte Leslie pressed the case for a Bristol Metro to Transport Secretary Justine Greening during the minister's fact-finding visit to the city recently.

Ms Greening travelled on the Severn Beach Line to Avonmouth at the weekend, during which time Ms Leslie spoke to her about the case for a city Metro rail system.

Ms Leslie, MP for Bristol North West, who has been working with local campaign groups, wants a series of stations, including Henbury, reopened among a network which she thinks would ease the city's chronic road congestion problems.

Ms Greening said Ms Leslie had "made a powerful case for investment in transport infrastructure".
