M4 to close for roadworks
THE M4 will be shut in both directions at the Almondsbury Interchange tomorrow night as part of major roadworks, the Highways Agency has announced.
Traffic will be diverted onto the M5, where alternative routes will be signposted from the Aztec West junction.
The closures will begin at 10pm and continue until 6am on Saturday, while work is carried out to realign temporary safety barriers used as part of the £88 million managed motorway scheme to introduce variable mandatory speed limits and allow the hard shoulder to be used as an extra lane for traffic during busy periods.
