An injury time try from Chinnor denied Lydney a National League Three South win as they drew 20-20.

It was an error-strewn match but Lydney had an early chance to take the lead which Mark Davies converted.

Chinnor shocked Lydney when Charlie Vine lost possession and Tony Powell took advantage of a long pass to score in the corner with Richard Williams converting.

Five minutes later, Chinnor went further ahead with Tom Shiel scoring a fine try.

Davies, with two more penalties, narrowed the lead and Lydney went in front just on half-time when Chris Holder gathered a long pass to score out wide.

Williams briefly put Chinnor in front within ten minutes of the second half.

A penalty and a drop goal from Davies gave Lydney a five-point cushion, but Lydney lost possession late on and Chinnor managed a try from Alex Wallace on the final whistle.

Cheltenham beat Trowbridge 48-24 on a heavy Green Lane pitch to stay third in South West Two East.
