Love is in the air for bunny and bull terrier
MEET Bunnykins – the rabbit which thinks it's a dog.
Owner Frank Shackleton says the fluffy six-month-old pet regularly cuddles up to his Staffordshire bull terrier cross Pipkin.
Mr Shackleton says the pair play together and run alongside each other at his home in Henleaze.
The retired lorry driver says Bunnykins has even started to copy two-year-old Pipkin's behaviour – by trying to eat his food and chasing his cat Dorrie up a tree. Appropriately enough for Valentine's Day, Mr Shackleton reckons there could be love in the air between the white-haired couple – although he is unsure of Bunnykins' gender.

The 62-year-old pet owner, who keeps two other dogs – including a blind poodle – at his home in Lake Road, said: "The rabbit seems to have adopted the dog and they are like lovers – they cuddle up together and go to sleep. They run together and play together occasionally.
"A couple of weeks ago the rabbit chased my cat up a willow tree in the garden – she's acting like a dog.
"I've never seen this type of behaviour before, especially with a dog which in the press has such a ferocious reputation. But he is a quite loving, calm and gentle dog."
Despite having so many pets on the loose in his home, Mr Shackleton says they get on well on the whole.
He said: "Bunnykins is a house rabbit – if you try to put her in a cage she goes a bit haywire. All the pets get on fine together but the rabbit doesn't like the poodle too much and tries to go for her. I think she thinks the poodle is a rat because she is so small.
"Bunnykins tries to eat out of the dog bowls and my other dog Purdy growls at her.
"We have to give the rabbit some dog biscuits to stop her from trying to eat the dogs' food from their bowls."
