Horse-riding lessons, tickets to Bristol Rovers and Bath Racecourse, and a bottle of wine from the House of Commons are just some of the prizes up for grabs at a charity auction in Yatton.

Bristol-based charity Dogsfriends, which rescues, fosters and re-homes dogs, hopes to raise much-needed funds by offering a range of impressive prizes which would make unusual Christmas presents.

Other items being auctioned include an afternoon's drive in a 1950s MGA, tickets to see Snow White at Bristol Hippodrome, a Bristol Ferry boatride, a week's B&B stay in Glastonbury, horse riding lessons, dog hampers, and tickets to a Clifton relaxation centre and much more.

The event takes place at the Railway Inn, Yatton, on Saturday, November 21.

Doors open at 6pm with bidding starting at 7pm.

Blind bids can be made before the event by emailing tizmelou@hotmail.com.

There will also be a free finger buffet, and dogs are allowed.
