Promoted Longwell Green Sports went top of the Premier Division with a 4-0 victory over visiting Melksham Town.

Longwell Green took the lead three minutes before half-time, when Neil Rosslee put Wayne Pearce clear of the defence to crash home a superbly-struck 25-yard shot which gave the keeper no chance.

The second half belonged to the Summers brothers, Andy and Mark, and their nephew Chris Dauncey as they scored the three goals which gave Longwell Green a thoroughly deserved win which maintains their unbeaten start to the season.

Bishop Sutton chalked up their first victory of the campaign, beating Wellington 3-1. Dave Stone had put Wellington ahead after 20 minutes, but Rob Smart equalised early in the second period and Sutton took charge, with goals from Liam Farmer and substitute Leon Britton sealing the points.

Champions Bitton's poor start to the season continued as they slumped to a 2-0 home defeat against a Bideford side who look like they will be challenging for honours at the end of the season.

Bideford opened the scoring in the 20th minute through striker Kevin Squires, and a Danny Harris penalty doubled the advantage.

Brislington's disappointing start to the season also continued as they slumped to a 2-1 home defeat against Ilfracombe.

Two goals from Mike Hedden either side of a James Mayne own goal gave Ilfracombe victory.

Hallen's failure to put away their chances proved costly as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Radstock Town. Andy Cook equalised for Hallen after they went a goal down, but a late own goal by Jazz Bright gave Radstock victory.

In Division One, Oldland Abbotonians went on a goal-scoring spree with a 7-0 hammering of visiting Devizes Town, who are pointless at the foot of the table after four games.

Striker Matt Huxley led the way with four goals, while Joe Chandler, Jordan Richards and Danny Bryant were also on target.

Cadbury Heath were 3-2 winners at Minehead through Toby Colbourne (2) and Mark Thomas.

Keynsham Town were 3-0 winners at Chard Town thanks to Scott Green, Josh Dyer and Martin Crew, while Hengrove Athletic scored through James Dunn, Mark Fear (2) and Ben Crewe in a 4-2 home success over Shrewton United.

A first-half goal from Sam Parks was enough to give Clevedon United a 1-0 victory at Odd Down, while James Clarke gave Portishead the lead at home to Gillingham Town but the visitors hit back to win 2-1.

Levi Marlow scored twice for Almondsbury in a 4-2 defeat at Elmore, who had all their goals from striker James Blake while Roman Glass St George slipped to their third defeat in four games, beaten 2-0 at home by Wells City.
