Long arm of the law stretches to Yorkshire
BRISTOL police travelled more than 200 miles to arrest a suspect.
Officers from Operation Relentless went to Halifax and, with the help of West Yorkshire Police, tried to find a "known prolific offender" wanted on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and other offences in Bristol.
A 37-year-old man was arrested at a house on the outskirts of the town.
The suspect was transported back to Bristol where he was last night being interviewed in connection with two serious assaults, dangerous and disqualified driving, cultivation of cannabis, possession of drugs and bail offences.
