If you are a member of or run a local branch of a support organisation such as Parkinson's UK or the MS Society have you ever thought of organising a group holiday on a canal boat for your branch or combining with another branch to organise one. If so why not contact Disabled Afloat Riverboats Trust (DART). DART have a pre-arranged programme of trips for 2013 allowing you to book a 3, 4 or 7 day trip on the Kennet and Avon Canal in Wiltshire with a boat for the exclusive use of your group. DART look after all the technicalities of running the boat and providing food at a price which, due to the efforts of their band of experienced volunteers, is very competitive. Paul Treble, Chairman of the DART charity, says 'I often talk to local support groups of national organisations. Usually there are one or two people who express and interest but then don't follow up. It would be fantastic if their support group were able to contact others in order to make things happen. Now they can.'
