Local athletics round-up
The Bridge Inn Winter 5k series gets under way on Tuesday from the pub of the same name in Shortwood, east Bristol (7.30pm) with entries taken on the night.
To enter the five-race series costs £19 for club runners or races can be entered individually at £5 a time.

Weston AC's Malcolm Gammon finished 17th (88mins 21secs) from 437 finishers in the Truro half marathon.
At the Great North Run in Newcastle Hogweed Trotters' Pat Hall came home in 1hr 50mins 42secs. Carole Neale (2:25.15), Tracy Marchant (2:28.03), Mark Wolf (3:26.20) and Harry Minas (3:45.00) also finished.
Former Bristol & West AC runner Nigel Leighton will be running the Frankfurt marathon next month.
With the results of the Midland Counties Road Relays finally confirmed, the Bristol & West AC pair of Annabel Gummow and Naomi Speake ran the first and third fastest times of the day in the club's victory in the Under-17 women's race.
Westbury Harriers' Floren Scrafton clocked the fifth fastest time.

The 35th Anniversary Dinner of Avon AA is planned for Saturday, July 17, 2010. The Garden Suite of the Redwood Lodge Hotel & Country Club is already booked.
Andrea Culp of Great Western Runners has offered to fill the vacant position as Cross Country Co-ordinator for the Avon Athletics Association.
Bristol & West AC teenager Robyn Bailey has joined Yate & District AC while Nicola Breaks has moved to Bristol from Hyndburn.
Bristol & West AC secretary Mike Adams finished second in the South of England Athletic Association Fell Running Championships on the Isle of Wight last weekend.
Sarah Urwin-Mann, who was previously based in Emmersons Green, has moved down the M4 due to work commitments and has now joined Reading Road Runners. Urwin-Mann was previously a member of Team Bath AC.
Bristol & West AC runner David Bishop, who is a student in America, recently won the men's 8k cross country at the Kachina Classic in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
