Local news websites for greater Bristol communities
A new network of local websites is going up around Bristol.
Called the Local People, they are a network of websites for people to get together and discuss the issues affecting their communities.
Local People can help you find and communicate with people with similar interests, look up information about businesses in your area, read and write local news stories and see what’s going on where you live and work.
The websites can be also used for social networking and and as a discussion forum, focusing on the needs of the community, and drawing on the expertise of local people who are interested in using a free local forum to interact with one another.
Local People is an opportunity for local business and website owners, and local writers, bloggers, photographers, and organisers of societies and groups to become involved with the sites, suggest topics for discussion and help shape the debate.
Here is a list of ones which we have so far, and there are plenty more to come.
