Listen to talks by adventurists and daredevils
SOME of the world's top explorers and daredevils are gathering under one roof to share their experiences of adventure with a live audience.
Bristol-based group The Adventurists – whose motto is "fighting to make the world less boring" – have organised the Night of Adventure to raise money for charity Hope and Homes for Children, which helps orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable children around the world.
The event, in front of an audience of up to 350 people, will be held at the Longwell Green Vue Cinema, on Monday, September 17.
Speakers include BBC TV presenter, marine biologist and travel writer Monty Halls and cave explorer Dick Willis, along with Belinda Kirk, who founded the adventure network Explorers Connect, Leon McCarron, who walked home from Mongolia, and Mike Hall, who recently smashed the world record for the fastest circumnavigation of the world by bike.
