Lessons for the younger Royals
HAVING read young Sarah Feeley's comments regarding the Queen I think her generation should rightly feel proud of our Queen. People these days get so used to seeing or reading about every single detail of anyone remotely connect to the Royal family they just take it for granted.
I am 72 and until the Queen's Coronation was televised, hardly anyone had TV sets so were unable to see anything at all about the Royals. If you were lucky enough to be able to afford to go to the cinema they usually showed a newsreel and occasionally special events like the Queen's wedding, or the birth of Charles and Anne might have been shown and sometimes in colour, but there was nowhere near the publicity around in those days. I agree with Sarah that the various films shown over the Jubilee on different TV programmes showing the Queen with her children when they were young and when she too was young and beautiful were really lovely. Some of the younger Royals could certainly learn some lessons from her as to how they should behave.
