Leeds became the last team in the top four divisions of English football to give up their unbeaten record when Gary Alexander's late header consigned them to a 2-1 reverse at Millwall on Saturday.

Simon Grayson, pictured and his side had gone 12 games without defeat until their late lapse at a ground which has proved anything but lucky for them in the last couple of seasons – they lost at the New Den on their way out of the play-off semi-finals last term.

The Elland Road boss has taken some solace from the way the current leaders have responded after previous setbacks, something he will be looking for them to reproduce in tonight's clash at the Memorial Stadium.

"I'm very confident of bouncing back and I've got a lot of confidence in my players. We're delighted to be at this stage of the season before we're talking about our first defeat," said Grayson.

"Everybody was talking about us being top of the division and that being the same as us getting promoted, but that was never going to be the case after 13 games.

"People might realise that now. It's April or May when that happens and as a group we knew it.

"It isn't the fact that you lose that matters but how you react to your defeats. For as long as I've been here, the players have always done that positively."

It's some measure of Leeds' strength in depth that they can still field the sort of side they will tonight despite missing the likes of Luciano Becchio, Andy Robinson, Rui Marques, Shane Higgs and Ben Parker.

Grayson is expected to stick with the side that started the weekend encounter in the Docklands, with Caspar Akergren between the posts and a back four of Leigh Bromby, Richard Naylor, Patrick Kisnorbo and Andy Hughes.

Robert Snodgrass, Jonathon Howson, Michael Doyle and Bradley Johnson fill the midfield berths with on-loan Wolves striker Sam Vokes and Jermaine Beckford up front.
