Ms Pimm visited the 2,000-pupil school on the west coast of Gambia in February last year and will be travel there again next month.
The school, which is housed in a building with damaged roofs, has no electricity, no computers and a library without furniture. School staff, many of whom are volunteers, are forced to travel two hours to use the nearest photocopier.

Ms Pimm said: "I am aiming to raise a little money to purchase classroom resources such as notebooks, paper and colouring pens. I am also hoping to buy some sports kit for the schools and local village football team.
"Any small contribution would be gratefully appreciated. These children and teachers are positive and work extremely hard under difficult circumstances and it would be great to help them as much as possible."

“Tell you what let's raise money for struggling schools in the UK and once they are all up to scratch we can then help the school in Gambia.”
