Learn to play music at Burnham folk festival
Burnham-on-Sea will be hosting its fourth Folkfest from September 4 to 6.
The opening concert of the popular festival – the only ticket event of the weekend – will be Mad Dog McRea, Irish-American rockers from Plymouth.
Doors open at 8pm and tickets are £5 each. They can be bought in advance from GC Music on 0127 879 4434.
On the Saturday, there will be free live music in seven venues from 1pm to 11pm, including open mic events and dance events for morris and clog dancers. There will also be free lessons in accordion, guitar and drums, plus a Kid Zone.
The 63 acts performing at Folkfest include Spikedrivers, Surfin' Turnips, The Roots Union, Jankie Fardal, Cherry Pickers, Three Sheets T'Wind, Coracle, The Ceili, Rosie Eade, Steve Turner, Inu, Phil King, Gangreen and FOS Brothers.
On Sunday, the free live music continues in Manor Gardens, from noon to 6pm.
