Children can explore their creative sides this summer holiday with a sunflower collage workshop at a Whitchurch garden centre.

Children can make collages out of sunflower seeds at the Whitehall Garden Centre on Norton Lane.

David Manning, manager of Whitehall Garden Centre, said: "We are always keen to host activities for children during the school holidays.

"Children will learn how to make sunflower heads using seeds and tissue paper with expert help from Krysia Chizanowska-Hunt, a former Forestry Commission education ranger."

The workshop will run on Sunday, August 9 from 10am to noon and from 2pm to 4pm.

Mr Manning added: "We hope as many children as possible will come along to this free event and have a go at making collages to take home."
