Two men have been charged with murder over the death of David Hughes, who was killed in his city council flat in Easton.

David Norman, 39 and Nigel Griffins, 32, both from Bristol, were due to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court today.

Mr Hughes, 44, was found by fire fighters in his second floor flat in Twinnell House on Wednesday last week. The apartment had been set on fire.

A third man arrested as part of the investigation has been released without charge.
