Late Reid winner secures League Cup for Bristol Central
Isaac Reid was the late hero as Bristol Central Under-16s won a tough Avon Youth League Cup final against Bitton.
The game was always going to be a close affair.
Early on, Kane Williams' header crashed against the bar for Central.
The contest, played under floodlights at Bristol Manor Farm's Western League ground, appeared to be heading for extra-time.
But, with five minutes remaining of normal time, a through-ball by skipper James Hall was received by Reid just inside the area and he chipped the ball on the turn over the advancing Bitton keeper into the bottom right corner of the net for a dramatic winner.
Bitton threw everything at the Central defence in the closing stages, but with the likes of keeper Tim Muga and defender Wayne Fletcher holding firm, they could not force an equaliser.
Central were left to celebrate a cup double following their GFA Trophy success, with the Division A title still up for grabs.
