As rival Championship clubs step up business during the early days of the January transfer window, so all remains quiet at Bristol City.

Crystal Palace: A report in the South London Press claims manager Ian Holloway wants to sign talented Norwich midfield play-maker Jacob Butterfield on loan until the end of the season.

Watford: Hornets boss Gianfranco Zola has persuaded Chelsea to allow teenage midfield star Nathaniel Chalobah to remain on loan at Vicarage Road until the end of the season.
