As rival Championship clubs step up business during the early days of the January transfer window, so all remains quiet at Bristol City.

Birmingham City: Boss Lee Clark faces a battle to retain the services of England goalkeeper Jack Butland, who is attracting interest from Premier League Southampton and Liverpool.
Crystal Palace: A report in the South London Press claims manager Ian Holloway wants to sign talented Norwich midfield play-maker Jacob Butterfield on loan until the end of the season.
Ipswich Town: DJ Campbell's long-term future remains uncertain after the striker returned to Queens Park Rangers following a loan spell at Portman Road. Blues boss Mick McCarthy wants to sign Campbell permanently and the player admits going back to east Anglia is an option he would consider.
Leeds United: Neil Warnock is exploring the possibility of recruiting West Brom winger Jerome Thomas on loan according to the player's agent, Tony Finnigan.
Cardiff City: Manager Malky Mackay is looking to boost his team's promotion push by signing wantaway West Brom star Graeme Dorrans. But the Welsh outfit are likely to face competition from Wigan, Aston Villa and Championship rivals Leicester for the Scotland international midfielder.
Sheffield Wednesday: Liam Palmer is set to sign a new two-and-a-half year contract at Hillsborough, but the midfielder will continue his loan at Tranmere Rovers for the rest of the season.
Watford: Hornets boss Gianfranco Zola has persuaded Chelsea to allow teenage midfield star Nathaniel Chalobah to remain on loan at Vicarage Road until the end of the season.
