Cadbury Heath struck a last-minute winner to beat Gala Wilton 4-3, with Kyle Tooze netting a hat-trick.

The victory allowed them to close the gap on league leaders Yate Town and they are now favourites for the title because of their games in hand.

Gala Wilton's goals came from Josh Holford, Dan Avent and Kieran Hempstead, but Gloucestershire Under-18 representative player Tooze's treble and a strike by Christian Lee gave Heath the points.

Shirehampton and Forest Green Rovers shared eight goals in a thrilling 4-4 draw.

Shire have been picking up points recently and took the lead after 25 minutes thanks to Ben McKenna. Ashley Morris equalised for Forest Green on the half-hour, and two more goals followed in the next five minutes as Dan Griffiths put Shirehampton back in front before Eddie Jones scored from the penalty spot for Forest Green.

Forest Green went in front for the first time just before the end of the half when Ashley Morris netted his second and Callum Henry made it 4-2 after an hour.

Joe Halt launched the Shirehampton fightback with a goal 20 minutes from time and new signing Kyle Buffery equalised three minutes from time.

Forest Green and Shirehampton had both been in action in midweek.

Rovers, who still have high hopes of claiming runners-up spot, played twice in three days, picking up six points. They beat Bristol Manor Farm 2-1 thanks to Eddie Jones and AJ Odabode, with Jay Harrison on target for Farm, before beating bottom club Winterbourne United 2-0.

It was Winterbourne's second defeat in 72 hours after they had lost 3-1 at Cheltenham Saracens.

Shirehampton, meanwhile, fought out a battling 2-2 home draw with Yate.

Shire keeper Matthew Turner kept his team in the game early on with three fine saves before Jordan Yeo finally put the visitors in front.

Shirehampton struck back just before half-time thanks to Ben McKenna and took the lead in the second half through Dan Griffiths. But Yate hit back to share the points thanks to Troy Budd's strike.
